It is actually rare that a technology blows me away.
Usually I understand how it works so I'm not all that impressed.

Firefox 3 is so fast, I'm stunned. I don't understand how they did it.

I repeat: if you use the internet, DOWNLOAD FIREFOX 3 NOW!

wow ...it actually does seem faster... but I am still getting slowed down by all these google page ads

while fast i've noticed 3 big performance issues
1) Flash - Holy shit somethings wrong with it - specifically flash ads that have a very high framerate (A lot of shitty ads).
2) Heavy AJAX - Slows browser to a crawl (Some Facebook pages, specifically, their advertising center and a lot of auto complete serverside forms)
3) Avast Web Shield (Part of Avast virus scanner) seems to have an issue with it - so far ashwebsv.exe has consumed all of 1 cpu and been unable to stop without a reboot while using FF3 - this has *never* happened before but has caused 3 reboots tonight alone.

Memory usage is up to 115MB for basic browsing from 72MB - for 1 window/tab

Rendering is much faster but time-to-respond after render and mid-render is much lower - i guess its an acceptable trade off (Try right clicking immediately after a page is loaded).

Overall, huge improvement, some annoying bugs i hope they fix quickly, the download managers ugly too heh.

Good to know, haven't run into any of these on OSX or Windows (2000 *cough*)

oh yeah, the security stuff, done right, mad props, the intelligent url bar takes a little getting used to but is excellent after a few hours of yelling at it heh.
